ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the bacteria found in the urinary tract and how they relate to urinary tract infections (UTIs). UTIs are very common, especially among women, and are often diagnosed based on symptoms and urine tests. However, traditional urine tests can miss some bacteria that may be important in causing these infections. This study aims to better understand the different types of bacteria in the bladder, including those that might be harmless under normal conditions but could cause infections when the balance of bacteria is disrupted.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 45 who are premenopausal can apply. Eligible participants include those who have symptoms of a UTI as well as healthy women without any urinary issues. Participants will have their urine tested to identify the bacteria present, which may help improve how UTIs are diagnosed and treated in the future. It's important to note that pregnant women and those with certain legal restrictions cannot take part in the study. Overall, this trial seeks to shed light on urinary health and improve care for women experiencing UTIs.
