ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "UP-A Kind," is designed to help improve mental health in adolescents aged 11 to 18 years. The main goal is to see if a specific school program can prevent emotional problems and promote better mental well-being among students. Participants will take part in eight weekly sessions where they will learn skills to manage their emotions. The researchers will compare the results of students who participate in the program with those who do not, to see how effective the intervention is over time.
To be eligible for this study, students must be in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grade and should be able to read and write in Portuguese. Importantly, there are no exclusions based on any other criteria since this program is meant to benefit all students. Throughout the study, participants will be assessed at several points: before starting the program, right after it ends, and again at three, six, and twelve months later to track their progress. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it's a great opportunity for students to gain tools that can help them navigate their emotions and improve their overall mental health.
