ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying ways to help older adults in Hong Kong feel less lonely. Researchers want to see if two different programs, called Tele-Positive Affect (Tele-PA) and Tele-Behavioral Activation (Tele-BA), can be more effective at reducing feelings of loneliness compared to a friendly phone call program (Tele-FV). The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to include older adults aged 65 and up who speak Cantonese and feel lonely, which is measured by a simple loneliness questionnaire.
To be eligible for this study, participants must score 6 or higher on the loneliness scale and should not have cognitive impairments, serious mental health issues, or be involved in other similar treatments. If you or someone you know meets these criteria, joining the study could provide a chance to connect with others and improve well-being through engaging conversations and activities. Participants can expect to take part in regular phone sessions that focus on enhancing positive feelings and social connections.
