ClinConnect Summary
The 3D-BONE study is researching how a special exercise program can help improve bone health in adults who survived childhood cancer. Many childhood cancer survivors face challenges later in life, especially regarding their bone density and overall health. This trial will involve at least 116 participants, aged 18 to 55, who have a history of pediatric cancer and have received treatment like chemotherapy or radiation. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will follow a 6-month live and online exercise program designed to strengthen their bones, while the other group will not partake in the exercise program but will be monitored for comparison.
If you qualify and choose to participate, you can expect to engage in a progressive exercise routine led by trained professionals through a mobile app. You'll also receive dietary advice on important nutrients like calcium and vitamin D to support your bone health. Throughout the study, researchers will conduct various assessments to evaluate your bone health, physical fitness, and overall well-being. This study is a great opportunity to contribute to important research that may help improve health outcomes for those who have survived childhood cancer.
