ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to diagnose and classify cataracts using advanced technology called the IOLMaster 700. Cataracts can cause cloudy vision and are a major cause of blindness. The trial aims to improve how doctors assess the severity of cataracts by using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze detailed images of the eye's lens. This new method hopes to provide more accurate results than traditional, subjective methods, helping doctors make better decisions regarding treatment and guiding patients towards successful surgery outcomes.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 90 years old and have been diagnosed with age-related or complicated cataracts. If you decide to join, you will undergo imaging to create detailed pictures of your lens, which will be analyzed by the AI software developed for this study. It’s important to know that certain eye conditions or previous surgeries may exclude you from participating. This trial not only aims to enhance individual patient care but also seeks to create a community tool for better cataract screening.
