ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, titled "Personalized Outreach for Equitable Treatment in Rheumatology," is looking to find out if offering financial incentives and personalized support can help more patients with rheumatic diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis, attend their appointments at a clinic in Vancouver. The researchers want to see if giving patients $20 for each follow-up visit, along with outreach services that help remind them about their appointments, will lead to better attendance compared to the usual schedule without these supports.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, have a diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis due to an autoimmune condition, and be receiving primary care from a Vancouver Coastal Health Community Health Centre. If you join, you will be randomly assigned to receive either the financial incentive, the outreach services, or both, and you’ll be asked to fill out surveys about your health at different times during the study. You will also have monthly check-ups at the clinic if you start on certain medications. The trial is not yet open for participants, but it aims to improve care for patients in the community by making it easier for them to attend important medical appointments.
