ClinConnect Summary

The "Sensorineural Hearing Loss Imprint" clinical trial is designed to explore how sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) affects children's ability to use their hands and coordinate their movements. This type of hearing loss can make it difficult for children to hear certain sounds, and the study aims to see if it also impacts their manual skills and coordination. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it will focus on children aged 10 to 16 years who have a severe to profound diagnosis of SNHL.

To be eligible for this study, children must be able to understand simple instructions using sign language and be capable of walking and performing daily activities on their own. However, children who have cochlear implants, certain other health conditions, or previous surgeries related to their limbs or body that could affect their movement will not be included. Participants in the trial can expect to take part in various assessments that will help researchers understand the relationship between their hearing loss and their physical skills. This study is important as it may provide insights that could lead to better support and interventions for children with hearing loss.
