ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for people who have ongoing knee pain due to osteoarthritis and cannot have surgery. The treatment involves a procedure called genicular embolization, where a medicine called doxycycline is used to help reduce pain by targeting specific blood vessels in the knee. The main goal is to find out if this treatment is safe and helps reduce knee pain over a period of three months, with additional checks up to a year later.
To join this study, participants need to be adults with moderate knee arthritis and significant pain in one knee. They should be able to speak and understand English, agree to follow-up visits, and not have had recent knee surgery or steroid injections. People with allergies to doxycycline or related substances cannot participate. If eligible, participants will receive the treatment and be asked to rate their pain and knee function over time using simple questionnaires. This study is still in the early stages and has not started recruiting yet.
