ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is testing a special nutrition program designed to help people who have had surgery for esophageal cancer feel better and improve their quality of life. The program lasts four weeks and is tailored to each person’s unique nutritional needs. It includes personalized nutrition advice, specially prepared foods, encouragement to stay active by walking with the help of a wearable device, and weekly phone calls for support. The study will look at how well participants follow the nutrition plan, their food intake, activity levels, weight changes, energy, symptoms, overall well-being, and satisfaction with meals and services. After the program, participants will also be interviewed to share their experiences.

People who might be eligible for this study are adults diagnosed with stage 1 to 3 esophageal cancer who have had or will have surgery to remove and reconstruct their esophagus with the goal of curing the cancer. Participants need to understand Korean well and be comfortable using a smartphone. The study is open to both men and women between the ages of 65 and 74. Some people are not eligible, such as those with other recent cancers, serious kidney problems, difficulties eating by mouth after surgery, or mobility issues that prevent walking. If you or a family member fits these criteria and are interested, this program could offer personalized support to improve nutrition and daily activity after esophageal cancer surgery.
