Progesterone Heme Oxygenase 1 Idiopathic Fetal Growth Restriction

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a condition called idiopathic fetal growth restriction, which means a baby is smaller than expected during pregnancy for reasons doctors don’t yet fully understand. The goal of the study is to find out what factors might cause this slower growth in the womb.

Women who might be eligible for this study are those who are pregnant with just one baby and have a pregnancy with a clear due date. However, women whose babies have certain birth defects, or who have medical conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure, or who are using specific medications or smoke, cannot join the study. Participants won’t receive any special treatments as part of this trial; instead, the study will observe and gather information to better understand why some babies grow more slowly before birth. This research could help improve care for future pregnancies affected by this condition.
