ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a special treatment called the integrated neuromuscular inhibition technique can help adult women who suffer from cervicogenic headaches—headaches that start from problems in the neck. The study will include 40 women who have been diagnosed with this type of headache by a neurologist and who meet certain conditions, like having headaches at least once a week for three months or more, and specific neck issues that can be felt during an exam.
Participants will be randomly placed into two groups. Both groups will receive the usual medical care for their headaches, but one group will also get the integrated neuromuscular inhibition technique, which is a hands-on therapy aimed at relaxing tight muscles and reducing pain. The study is not yet recruiting participants, and women between 18 and 60 years old who meet the criteria may be eligible. This trial could provide helpful information about new ways to relieve cervicogenic headaches using this additional therapy.
