ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a parenting program called "Familia Bora" in the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. The program is designed to help mothers and fathers improve how they care for their young children, strengthen their relationship as a couple, and promote healthy child development. It also looks at how the program is delivered and what makes it work well. The program includes weekly group sessions led by trained community health workers, where couples learn about topics like positive parenting, managing stress, communicating better as partners, nutrition, and gender roles.
Couples who are eligible to join include adults between 18 and 65 years old who live together with their child under the age of two and are in a married or partnered relationship. Both the mother and father must agree to take part in the study. If selected, participants will meet regularly in small groups with other couples from their village to discuss and practice these parenting and relationship skills. This trial aims to support families in raising happy, healthy children while also improving the well-being of parents and their partnerships.
