ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a specific type of muscle treatment called gastrocnemius myofascial release—focused on the calf muscle—can quickly improve the movement of the neck when bending forward and backward. The researchers want to see if releasing tension in the calf muscles can help increase how far healthy adults can comfortably move their necks.
To take part, you need to be a healthy adult between 18 and 40 years old, with no recent injuries, surgeries, or ongoing health problems affecting your muscles, heart, kidneys, nerves, or other major body systems. Pregnant women and people who have taken certain pain or narcotic drugs, or alcohol in the past 12 hours, cannot join. If you participate, you would receive the muscle release treatment on your calf, and then your neck movement will be measured right away to see if there’s any immediate improvement. This study has not started recruiting participants yet but aims to better understand how treating one part of the body might affect movement in another.
