ClinConnect Summary

This study is looking at female athletes in Saudi Arabia who play rugby and basketball to understand what physical and mental factors might predict sports injuries. Researchers want to see how things like muscle strength, fitness levels, and psychological traits such as confidence and resilience relate to the chances of getting hurt while playing these demanding sports. The goal is to find ways to prevent injuries, help athletes stay healthy, and reduce healthcare costs, supporting the growth of women’s sports in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Women aged 18 to 35 who have been actively playing rugby or basketball for at least one year and regularly participate in training and competitions may be eligible to join. Participants will visit a research center to take part in physical tests measuring fitness and muscle strength, as well as answer questionnaires about their mental well-being. Those with recent injuries, chronic illnesses, or pregnancy won’t be able to join. By taking part, athletes will help researchers understand injury risks better and contribute to safer sports environments for women in Saudi Arabia.
