ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how epilepsy affects a person’s ability to drive safely. People with epilepsy can sometimes have trouble paying attention, which might make driving more difficult or risky. Since driving is important for independence and daily life, the study aims to find better ways to evaluate whether someone with epilepsy is fit to drive. Instead of just relying on a regular medical check-up, this study will use a driving simulator combined with brain activity monitoring (called an EEG) to get a clearer picture of how epilepsy might impact driving skills.

To take part in this study, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and drive at least once a month. You should not have any other medical conditions that prevent you from driving, and you must agree to participate and be covered by a social security plan. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and people who get motion sickness from virtual reality or simulators cannot join. If you participate, you can expect to use a driving simulator while your brain activity is recorded, helping doctors understand how epilepsy affects your driving. This research could lead to better, more personalized ways to decide when it’s safe for people with epilepsy to be on the road.
