ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying adults who have a sudden infection of the membranes around the brain and spinal cord, known as meningitis. The study will look at different types of meningitis caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. It will collect information from about 30 hospitals in Brazil to understand how patients are treated while in the hospital and after they leave. The goal is to learn more about current care and how patients recover in both the short and long term, which can help improve treatment guidelines across the country.
Adults aged 18 and older who have a fever along with symptoms like a bad headache, vomiting, confusion, sensitivity to light, seizures, stiff neck, or a sudden rash may be eligible to join. People must agree to participate in the study. If you take part, doctors will collect information about your care during your hospital stay and follow up with you after you leave to see how you are doing. This study is not yet enrolling patients but will provide important insights into meningitis care in real-world settings.
