ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to create and test a new training program for doctors in training (called residents) who specialize in women’s health. The focus is on teaching them how to use ultrasound, a painless imaging test, to help determine the stage of certain gynecologic cancers—specifically ovarian, endometrial (lining of the uterus), and cervical cancers. Over six months, these residents will learn through lectures, hands-on practice, and guided evaluations, gradually performing ultrasound exams on patients themselves. Their results will be compared with those of expert ultrasound doctors to see how well they are learning.
The study is looking for gynecology residents who work daily in the ultrasound center and can commit to the full program. Patients who have or might have one of these gynecologic cancers may have ultrasounds done by both the residents and expert doctors as part of the study. Everyone involved will need to agree to participate by signing a consent form. This study is not yet open for enrollment but aims to improve ultrasound training so future doctors can more accurately assess cancer and provide better care.
