ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well fingers work after they have been successfully reattached following an injury where the finger was completely cut off. Researchers are looking at both objective measures, like how strong your grip is, how much you can move your finger, and how well you can feel sensations, as well as how patients feel about their pain, satisfaction, and ability to do everyday tasks. The goal is to better understand not just saving the finger, but also how well it functions afterward.
The trial is open to people who have had traumatic injuries that caused a complete finger amputation and who have had more than one finger reattached. People with more complex injuries, such as amputations at multiple levels or severe hand damage, are not eligible. Participants will undergo tests to measure hand strength, movement, and feeling, and will be asked about their pain and daily hand use. This study hopes to provide clearer information on the benefits of finger replantation to help improve future treatments.
