ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new program called the Independent Life Skills Program (ILSP), designed to help adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) learn important skills for daily living. These skills include managing themselves, their homes, and their involvement in the community. The goal is to support adults with autism as they move toward greater independence and a successful transition into adult life.
Adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with autism and have average to borderline IQ levels may be eligible to join this study. People with other learning or sensory challenges, such as hearing impairments, or those who do not wish to participate, cannot take part. Participants in the trial will work with occupational therapists through the ILSP, which focuses on practical life skills and self-management techniques. This program was carefully developed to help individuals gain confidence and independence in everyday activities.
