ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to predict a serious complication called delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) that can happen after a type of brain bleed known as aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). This complication affects many patients and can lead to brain damage or disability if not caught early. The study will look at a special type of brain imaging called perfusion imaging to see if it can help doctors identify who is at risk for DCI sooner, which may help improve recovery and brain function.

Adults over 18 who have been diagnosed with aSAH may be eligible to join, unless they have certain conditions like severe kidney disease, pregnancy, or allergies to the imaging dye, or if they have difficulties that would prevent them from completing memory and thinking tests. Participants will undergo brain scans and assessments to help researchers understand how well perfusion imaging predicts DCI and affects thinking and neurological health. This study has not started recruiting yet, but it aims to improve care and outcomes for people recovering from this type of brain bleed.
