ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether playing the strategic puzzle game called Tangram can help people feel less pain, less tired, and more comfortable after having abdominal surgery. The study focuses on patients on their first day after surgery who are experiencing some pain, to see if this simple game might improve their overall recovery experience.
To take part, patients need to be between 65 and 74 years old, have had abdominal surgery, and have a pain level of at least 2 on a simple pain scale. They also should not have had pain medicine in the last three hours. People with hearing, vision, or mental challenges, limited hand or arm movement, cancer-related surgery, or certain psychological illnesses like schizophrenia or depression cannot join. If you participate, you would be asked to play the Tangram game during your recovery and then share how you feel in terms of pain, tiredness, and comfort. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to find a fun and easy way to support healing after surgery.
