ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether there is a connection between forward head posture—when the head leans forward more than usual—and a condition called cervical radiculopathy, which happens when nerves in the neck get irritated and cause pain or numbness. The study focuses on people who use smartphones a lot, since spending many hours looking down at screens can affect posture and potentially lead to neck problems.
To take part, you need to be an adult between 18 and 35 years old, use a smartphone for more than four hours a day, have a certain degree of forward head posture, and have a healthy body weight. People with serious health issues, past neck surgeries, or certain blood flow problems in the neck won’t be eligible. If you join the study, researchers will likely assess your posture and check for signs of nerve irritation to better understand how smartphone use might impact neck health. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to help find ways to prevent or treat neck problems related to poor posture from technology use.
