ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a special two-day, one-night program called Forest Therapy, designed for families with young children who are already receiving early intervention services. The goal is to see if spending time together in nature can help improve the child’s physical and emotional development while also reducing stress for parents. The program involves activities in a forest setting that encourage family bonding and support the child’s growth in a natural, calming environment.
Families may be eligible if their child is between 5 and nearly 7 years old, is currently getting early intervention support, and has language and motor skills similar to a typical three-year-old or above. The child and two caregivers need to be willing to take part in the full program, including some assessments before and after the experience. However, children with serious mobility issues or who might have trouble understanding instructions would not be able to join. Also, families with allergies or health concerns related to being outdoors in the forest should not participate. This study has not started recruiting yet, but it offers a unique opportunity to see how nature-based activities might benefit families receiving early intervention.
