ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a workplace program designed to help university employees who are overweight or obese improve their health. The program combines fun physical activities like Zumba classes, lessons about healthy eating, and tools on mobile apps to help participants track their progress. The goal is to see if these activities can reduce body fat, increase muscle, shrink waist size, and improve overall fitness and health over a 12-week period.
To join, you need to be an employee aged 20 to 40 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) of 23 or higher, and have a body fat percentage of at least 25%. The program is for those who mostly sit at work for five or more hours a day and don’t already do regular intense exercise. People with serious health problems or those already in other weight loss programs cannot participate. If you join, you’ll be asked to take part in the program for the full 12 weeks, with health checks at the start, 6 weeks, and the end to see how you’re doing. This study aims to help build healthier habits and prevent diseases linked to obesity right at the workplace.
