ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on building a large collection of ultrasound images of the female reproductive system. These images will come from women who are having routine pelvic ultrasounds, whether they are healthy or have non-cancerous or cancerous gynecological conditions. The goal is to use this collection to help doctors learn more, improve medical research, and develop new computer tools that can help diagnose diseases more accurately and quickly.
Women aged 18 and older who visit the Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli hospital in Rome for an ultrasound exam may be eligible to join, no matter what their ultrasound results show. If they agree to participate, their ultrasound images will be stored and linked to later medical results, either from surgery or follow-up scans after one year. This will help doctors better understand each patient’s condition and may lead to more personalized treatments in the future. Participation involves giving consent and having routine ultrasound exams; no extra procedures are required. The study plans to include about 25,000 women over five years and is not yet open for enrollment.
