ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of a new robotic system called the Da Vinci SP for urologic surgeries, which are operations related to the urinary tract and male reproductive organs. The goal is to see if this single-port robotic system is safe, practical, and effective compared to the more commonly used multiport Da Vinci Xi system. Researchers will collect information about how well the surgery works, any side effects during and after the operation, and how patients recover their normal functions.
Adults aged 65 to 74 who need robotic urologic surgery and are generally in good health may be eligible to join the study. To participate, patients must be able to give informed consent, have a good performance status (meaning they can carry out daily activities without much limitation), expect to live at least 10 more years, and agree to follow-up visits after surgery. People who cannot safely undergo anesthesia or have cognitive or psychiatric conditions that make it hard to consent or follow the study rules cannot join. If you take part, you can expect your surgery to be done using the Da Vinci SP system, and the medical team will carefully monitor your recovery and overall health to better understand the benefits and risks of this new technology.
