ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how common irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is among Egyptian medical students and interns. IBS is a condition that affects the digestive system and can cause symptoms like stomach pain, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. The study also aims to find out what factors might increase the risk of having IBS and to explore if there’s a connection between IBS symptoms and feelings of anxiety or depression.
If you are an Egyptian medical student or intern between the ages of 18 and 29, and you use online platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, or Telegram, you might be eligible to participate. Participants will be asked to complete an online questionnaire about their health and feelings. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you choose to take part, you’ll help researchers better understand IBS in this group and how mental health might be related to it. Participation is voluntary, and you can decide not to join or stop at any time.
