ClinConnect Summary
This clinical study is looking at people who have heart artery disease and are about to have a procedure called percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), which helps open blocked heart arteries. Researchers want to see how common it is for these patients to also have narrowing in the arteries of their head and neck, which can affect blood flow to the brain. They will use a simple, painless ultrasound test to check for this narrowing and will then study how different combined treatments work for these patients.
If you are 18 years or older and scheduled for this heart procedure, you might be able to join the study. Participants will have an ultrasound exam before their procedure, and the doctors will use the results to decide on the best treatment plan. The goal is to learn how to better care for people who have both heart and brain artery problems, improving their overall health and outcomes.
