ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Rouen Study on Anxiety, is looking at how anxiety affects people who are having allergy tests. Allergy tests are important to find out if someone is allergic to things like certain foods, medicines, or insect stings. While these tests are generally safe, there is a very small chance they can cause an allergic reaction during the test, which is why patients are carefully monitored by medical staff. The study wants to understand how feeling anxious before or during these allergy tests might change a person’s experience and even the test results.
Adults over 18 years old who are having allergy tests at the Erik Satie Center and are covered by social security can take part in the study. To join, participants need to understand the information about the study and agree to participate. People who have trouble understanding the study because of certain mental or sensory difficulties are not eligible. If you join, you can expect to have your allergy tests as usual while researchers observe how anxiety may play a role during the process. This study is currently recruiting participants and welcomes adults of all genders.
