ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new device designed to hold a small tube (called a catheter) in place for monitoring blood pressure during and after heart surgery, specifically coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Right now, these tubes are usually secured with sticky tape, but the new device aims to keep the tube more stable and comfortable for patients. The study will look at how well the device works over 48 hours by checking how securely it holds the tube and how accurately it measures blood pressure compared to the usual tape method. The goal is to improve patient safety and make monitoring more reliable during recovery.
Adults between 18 and 80 years old who are having this type of heart surgery and need blood pressure monitoring through a catheter may be able to join the study. Participants should be stable in terms of their heart and blood flow and able to give their consent. People with bleeding problems, skin infections where the catheter goes in, or allergies to the device materials won’t be eligible. If you take part, you can expect to have the new device used to secure your monitoring tube, and doctors will track how well it works and how comfortable it is compared to the usual tape method. This study is currently recruiting patients who meet these criteria.
