ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether a simple deep breathing exercise, guided by a special hand-held device called Domi, can help improve attention and self-control in children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). ADHD can make it hard for kids to focus, control impulses, and succeed in school or social situations. While there are treatments available, some kids still struggle, and medications or therapy can sometimes be hard to access or come with side effects. This study is testing if using deep breathing with Domi can be an easy, low-cost way to support children with ADHD by helping their brains and behavior work better.
Children between the ages of 7 and 11 who have been diagnosed with ADHD by a parent may be eligible to join. Kids with certain other conditions, like intellectual disabilities, autism, hearing problems, seizure disorders, or those taking certain ADHD medications, would not qualify. During the study, children will use the Domi device to guide them through deep breathing exercises and then complete simple computer tasks that measure attention and self-control. The researchers hope this will show improvements in these areas. This is an early test to see if the approach works well and could lead to larger studies in the future.
