ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new type of support program designed to help older adults who have mild dementia or mild cognitive problems, along with their family caregivers. Instead of focusing on what people with dementia can’t do, this program highlights their strengths and abilities to build confidence and improve how they cope with memory and thinking challenges. The goal is to slow down the progression of dementia and improve quality of life by empowering both the person with dementia and their caregiver to work together more effectively.
People who might be eligible for this study are adults over 18 who have been diagnosed with mild dementia or mild cognitive impairment, notice some memory or thinking difficulties, can communicate with the research team, and have a family member who can act as their caregiver. Participants will take part in activities that focus on their shared strengths and learn ways to support each other better. This study is currently recruiting volunteers, and it offers a chance to be part of a new approach to dementia care that focuses on hope, resilience, and teamwork.
