ClinConnect Summary
This is a randomized trial from Hitit University in Ordu, Turkey, testing whether a short program of sexual health education can help women change two things: their beliefs about sex (sexual myths) and how self-conscious they feel about their own sexuality. About 66 women aged 18–45 who speak Turkish and have not previously received sexual health education will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group gets four educational sessions over two weeks; the other group does not receive any education. Both groups complete surveys before the program and again about eight weeks later to see if there are any changes.
If you join, you would fill out baseline surveys. If you’re in the education group, you’d participate in four sessions using demonstrations, slides, feedback, and group activities over two weeks. All participants would then complete the same surveys around two months from the start to see if the education made a difference. The study aims to find out whether this education can reduce sexual myths and influence sexual self-consciousness. The trial is currently enrolling, with results not yet available, and is not a drug or device study.
