ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the timing of ovulation triggering (using medication to help the ovary release an egg) on the day of intrauterine insemination (IUI) affects pregnancy rates. IUI is a common fertility treatment where sperm is placed directly into the uterus to help a woman conceive. The study aims to see if there is a connection between the levels of a hormone called progesterone (which supports pregnancy) on the day of insemination and the chances of becoming pregnant.
Women aged 18 to 43 who are undergoing IUI, whether single or in a couple (including same-sex couples), may be eligible to join. As part of the study, participants will have routine blood tests on the day of insemination to measure certain hormone levels. The goal is to better understand how these hormone levels relate to successful pregnancies after IUI, which could help improve timing and treatment in the future. Participation involves usual care with some extra blood tests, and all information will be collected with the patient’s consent.
