ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how being addicted to smartphones might affect neck health, especially neck pain and muscle stiffness, in healthy young adults. The study will compare two groups of people: those who have signs of smartphone addiction and those who do not. Researchers will use special tools to measure neck muscle strength and pain sensitivity to see if there’s a connection between smartphone use and neck problems.
To join the study, you need to be between 18 and 30 years old, use a smartphone regularly, and agree to participate. People with existing neck conditions, neurological or psychiatric illnesses, or those who have had neck surgery won’t be eligible. If you take part, you’ll be asked to complete some questionnaires and have your neck muscles tested with non-invasive devices. This study is still in the early stages and hasn’t started recruiting participants yet.
