ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a short, one-time session of Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training (DBT-BST) can help adults who have thoughts of suicide. The goal is to see if this session can teach helpful coping skills, like managing emotions, and if it can reduce the intensity of suicidal thoughts. The study will compare this approach to a simple relaxation technique to find out which works better.
Adults aged 18 and older who have had suicidal thoughts in the past three months, have not had psychological treatment in the last month, live in Aydın, Türkiye, and speak Turkish may be eligible to participate. Those who join will attend a single 60-minute, in-person session where they will learn these coping skills. Afterward, participants will be encouraged to use what they learned on their own to help prevent crisis situations. It’s important to note that people currently receiving medication or who have experienced major loss or trauma in the past year cannot join this study. This trial is not yet recruiting participants.
