ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new type of therapy that uses virtual reality (VR) to help people recover movement in their arms after a stroke. Traditional mirror therapy helps by showing the reflection of a healthy arm to trick the brain into thinking the affected arm is moving, which can encourage healing. This study tests a VR system that builds on this idea by creating interactive and fun digital games to make the therapy more engaging and possibly more effective.
The trial is looking for adults aged 18 to 74 who have good stereo vision (the ability to see depth) and have never used virtual reality before. People with serious vision or hearing problems, or other neurological conditions, won’t be able to join. Participants will use the VR system, which tracks hand movements to provide visual feedback, and the study will focus on how easy and comfortable it is to use this new therapy. This is an early study to see if the technology works well and is user-friendly before testing its effects on recovery.
