ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new program called Engaging Together for Healthy Relationships, which aims to help prevent dating violence among teenagers by involving both the teen and their caregiver. The program is designed to be offered during regular health check-ups at pediatric clinics. The goal of this pilot study is to see if the program is practical and well-received by families and healthcare providers.
Families who might join the study include adolescents aged 12 to 16 who have an upcoming well-child visit with a participating healthcare provider, along with their parent or primary caregiver who will attend the visit with them. Both the teen and caregiver need to speak English and be willing to take part in the program together. Healthcare providers involved are pediatricians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants who care for children and teens. If you join, you can expect to participate in the program during your regular clinic visit, focusing on building healthy relationship skills to prevent dating violence. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to create a helpful resource for families in the future.
