ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different types of palliative care training affect learning for senior nursing students. Palliative care focuses on providing comfort and support to people with serious illnesses, and it requires special skills and education. The study compares a traditional teaching method, which includes a lecture and a practice session, with a new, more detailed approach that adds videos, clinical practice, and self-study. The researchers want to see if this new method helps students learn better by improving their knowledge, skills, and confidence in providing palliative care.
Nursing students in their 3rd or 4th year, aged 18 to 25, who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for the 2025-2026 academic year may be eligible to join. Participants should be willing to complete the entire training course and have not had previous palliative care training or work experience. Those who take part will receive one of the two types of training and then complete questionnaires to measure what they have learned. This study aims to improve how nursing students are prepared to care for patients needing comfort and support at difficult times.
