ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at whether a new digital tool can help teenagers in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, learn more about HIV, understand their own risk, and feel more comfortable getting tested. The tool includes online lessons about HIV, a way to check personal risk, and support from trained peer educators through the internet. Researchers want to know if this digital approach works better than regular HIV education and what makes teens more likely to use these kinds of online services.
Teenagers aged 15 to 17 who live or go to school in Yogyakarta, can read Bahasa Indonesia, and have regular access to a smartphone or internet device may join the study. Participants will be split into two groups: one will use the digital tool for six weeks, while the other will get standard HIV education without the tool. Everyone will complete surveys before and after the study, watch educational videos, assess their own HIV risk, and get support from peers online. This study hopes to find new and effective ways to use technology to help young people better prevent HIV and encourage testing.
