ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new group program designed to help adults living with chronic pain better understand mental health and how it relates to their pain. The program runs for 10 weeks, with one 90-minute session each week, and aims to teach helpful ways to think about and manage pain, while also reducing unhelpful beliefs and behaviors that can make pain worse. Half of the people who join the study will start the program right away, while the other half will wait and join after the first group finishes.
To take part, you need to be an adult or older adult (18 years or older) living in Portugal who has been diagnosed with chronic pain by a doctor. You should be able to attend all the sessions and not currently receiving regular psychological therapy. People with active cancer or who cannot give consent, such as those with severe memory problems, cannot join. This study is not recruiting yet but aims to see if this kind of program is practical and helpful for people with chronic pain.
