ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well two different types of treadmill exercises—antigravity treadmill training and body weight-supported treadmill training—help older adults recover after hip or knee replacement surgery. The goal is to see which method might improve walking ability and overall rehabilitation for people aged 60 to 75 who have recently had these joint surgeries.
To join the study, participants need to be 60 years or older and have had hip or knee replacement surgery. People who have difficulty walking on their own (but can use crutches or a walker), or who have certain mental health conditions or memory problems that make it hard to complete questionnaires, are not eligible. Participants will take part in treadmill training designed to support their body weight, which can make walking easier and less painful during recovery. The study is currently looking for volunteers, and anyone interested should be willing to participate throughout the entire process. This research could help improve recovery methods for many older adults after joint replacement surgery.
