ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different ways to treat plantar warts, which are warts that appear on the bottom of the feet. The study compares three treatments: using tiny needles alone (called microneedling), microneedling combined with a medicine called bleomycin, and microneedling combined with another medicine called 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). The goal is to see which method works best and is safest for patients.
People aged 18 to 74 who have plantar warts and are otherwise healthy may be able to join. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and those with certain health problems or who have recently treated their warts cannot participate. If you join, a numbing cream will be applied before a small pen with tiny needles is used on your wart to help the medicine work better or to treat the wart directly. This will be done every two weeks for up to three months or until the wart is gone. After the treatment with bleomycin or 5-FU, the area will be covered for a few hours to help the medicine absorb. This study aims to find out which treatment helps warts heal faster and with fewer side effects.
