ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different ways of cleaning deep tooth decay to see how they affect the health of the tooth’s nerve (called the pulp) and any pain after treatment. One method removes all the decay, while the other removes only some of it to avoid exposing the nerve. The goal is to find out which approach better keeps the nerve healthy and reduces pain after the procedure.
People who might take part are teenagers and adults (15 years and older) who have deep decay in matching teeth on both sides of their mouth, and whose tooth nerves are still alive and sensitive to cold, but who do not have ongoing pain or serious infection around the tooth roots. Participants should also be willing to return for check-ups after 6 and 12 months. If you join, you can expect the dentist to use both cleaning methods on different teeth in your mouth, and then monitor how your teeth feel and heal over time. This study is not yet recruiting, and it excludes those with certain health issues, pregnant women, or teeth that are too damaged to fix.
