ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new mobile app called HEMImprove 1.0, which is designed like a game to help teenagers with unilateral cerebral palsy improve the movement and strength of one arm. The study will compare how well the app works against traditional home exercises over a four-week period. Researchers will check participants’ arm function, motivation, and overall quality of life before and after using the app or doing regular exercises.

Teens between 12 and 18 years old who have been diagnosed with unilateral cerebral palsy and can use the app on their own or with a little help may be eligible to join. People who recently had arm surgery or certain treatments, or who have other conditions affecting their arm movement, won’t be able to participate. If you join, you’ll either use the app or do regular exercises at home for a month, with assessments to see how much you improve. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to find out if this fun, game-based approach can help young people move better and feel more motivated during therapy.
