ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a special type of brain training done through a computer at home can help older adults who have mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which means they have some problems with memory or thinking that are more than normal aging but not severe enough to be dementia. The study will involve older adults who are able to take care of themselves and have a certain score on a simple memory and thinking test called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA).
If you join the trial, you will do computer-based brain training exercises three times a week for 12 weeks. Researchers will check your thinking abilities and quality of life before starting, after 8 weeks, and again after 12 weeks to see if the training helps. People with serious brain conditions like stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or major vision or hearing problems won’t be able to join. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to find out if doing cognitive exercises remotely can improve mental abilities and daily living in older adults with mild memory or thinking difficulties.
