ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at a new way to teach nursing students how to perform bladder catheterization, which is a common medical procedure. Instead of traditional classroom learning, some students will take part in a fun, game-like experience called an escape room, where they solve puzzles and work together to learn the skill. The researchers want to see if this interactive training helps students do better in their studies, improves their problem-solving skills, and makes them more motivated to learn.
Nursing students who are currently taking a clinical skills course and have not been formally trained in catheterization before may be able to join the study. Participants will be randomly placed into two groups: one will learn through the escape room game, and the other will receive regular training. Before and after the training, students will complete tests to measure how much they have learned and how confident they feel. The study will also ask students about their experience to understand how they felt about the different teaching methods. This research hopes to find better ways to help nursing students learn important skills in a more engaging and effective way.
