ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different treatments to help women who have piriformis syndrome, a condition that causes pain in the buttock and sometimes down the leg due to irritation of a muscle near the hip. The study compares the effects of the Facilitated Positional Release Technique (FPRT), which involves gentle positioning and movement to relieve muscle tension, with the Manual Myofascial Release Technique, a hands-on method that aims to relax tight muscles and improve movement.
Women between the ages of 25 and 50 who have been diagnosed with piriformis syndrome and have had pain for at least two months may be eligible to join. However, women with certain other conditions, like lower back nerve problems, recent spine injuries, or hip surgery, cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to receive one of the two treatments and have your progress monitored to see which method helps reduce pain and improve comfort. This study is currently looking for participants, and it focuses only on female patients to better understand how these treatments work for women with this condition.
