ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well a medicine called intranasal midazolam works to help calm preschool children (ages 2 to 6) before they have surgery to remove their tonsils and/or adenoids. The goal is to see if this medicine, given through the nose, can help reduce anxiety and make the experience less stressful for young children before their operation.
Children who might join the study are those between 2 and 6 years old, who are healthy enough for surgery (based on standard health checks), and who are scheduled for planned tonsil or adenoid removal. Families will be asked if they agree to participate, and children with allergies to the medicine, nasal infections, certain health problems, or neurological issues would not be able to join. If enrolled, the child will receive the medicine through the nose before surgery to help them relax. This study is currently looking for eligible children to participate.
