ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how well a lung ultrasound—a painless imaging test that uses sound waves to look at the lungs—can help doctors understand causes of shortness of breath. The goal is to see if doing these ultrasounds right at the point of care (like in the hospital or clinic) gives useful information for patients who are having trouble breathing.

People eligible to join are adults over 22 years old who either have a known lung condition or are coming to the hospital or clinic with new shortness of breath, even if they don’t have a lung diagnosis yet. Participants will be asked to have two lung ultrasounds as part of the study. It’s important to note that this study is not yet recruiting and some people, like those who are very critically ill, prisoners, or those who can’t speak English well, cannot take part. If you join, you can expect a simple and safe procedure to help doctors learn more about lung health and breathing problems.
